Johann Sebastian Bach was born in Eisenach, Germany, he works in Weimar and Leipzig. A master of contrapuntal technique, his music marks the culmination of the Baroque polyphonic style. His huge output includes orchestral works such as the six Brandenburg Concerto in 1721, organ works, more than 200 cantatas and large-scale choral works such as the St. Mathew Passion in 1729 and the Mass in B Minor in 1733.
